I remember the green-eyed tizzy, but do you remember Whiporwheel John? I was definitely more freaked out by him. Pretty much ruined the sound of a Whiporwheel for me.

If 'm not missing something here...I alwat=ys try tontake self portrates of myself and kitty, and I'm certain that my kitty thinks I'm a really NUTTY HUMan,b/c I only have a few seconds run over and snatch her up and force her to strike a pose before the camera stops blinking and flashes the pic.So we have to go thru this routine many many times to finally get it right. If she knew how to use the phone,I bet she'd be calling the humane society on me!LOL (-} Love ur blog BTW

Oh, I don't know how you spell the name of the bird. If you say it's Whipporwill, it probably is. I defer to your wisdom. Anyway, the story of Whipporwill John was similar to The Green-Eyed Tizzy. When you heard the bird's call (usually when you were trying to fall asleep in your bunk in the camp cabin or when you woke up and had to walk out to the bathroom at 2 a.m.) it meant that Whipporwill John was out in the woods looking for his next victim. I think this was yet another Cathedral Domain tool to inhibit making out, smoking cigarettes, or simply sneaking around after dark. I am not sure if it worked for everyone, but it scared me.
